Where to eat ? Our culinary spots around Péniche

Spending the day in the water is very tiring so here are our spots to eat around Baleal and the Lagoa of Obidos

In addition to the wind and waves all year round, the Peniche region offers a delicious gastronomy.

So as the Wing is great but you still need to take a break for lunch, here is a selection of our 3 favorite culinary spots:

1. Our favorite at 2 steps from the spot : Patio D’Lagoa

This restaurant is simply our HQ. Come from Wingiscool or Cyril, you will never be disappointed!
The reception and the service of the boss is very friendly.

It serves traditional Portuguese cuisine at very affordable prices. When you enter this restaurant with a very basic decoration, you will find mainly locals sitting around.

The restaurant has a terrace.

Our tips for ordering:

- Arroz de tamboril (Rice with monkfish)
- Berbigao (Shells fished in the Lagoa of Obidos, you will be able to see the fishermen on foot during your WingFoil courses)
- Polvo à lagareiro (octopus Portuguese style)

Average price of a full meal: 15 / 20 € (including drinks)

2. Drink on the beach at sunset: Bar da Praia

This beach bar is ideally located on the south beach of Baleal for the sunset. It is the meeting place of the city’s surfers.
Go to their terrace to have a drink or to eat on the go.
The prices are more than affordable for the location of the bar > 6€ for cocktails (you will never find that in France on the beach of Hossegor)..

The bar is open all day. A DJ set starts for the end of the day.

Price information :

- Pint of beer : 3€
- Cocktail : 6€
- To eat count 10€ for a burger or a pizza.

3. Delicious modern Portuguese cuisine: Taberna do Ganhão

This restaurant is located on the other side of the Baleal sandbank. It offers a contemporary and refined Portuguese cuisine. The menu is quite limited but it is of good quality and you can eat fish as well as meat.

This restaurant is really worth a visit if you are in the area.

On the other hand, you are not the only ones to have the idea to go there, the reservation is not
possible so we advise you to arrive early or to come during the day to see if it is possible to keep a table.
